Natural Disaster
Natural Disaster is the effect of a natural hazard (such as a flood, hurricane, volcanic eruption, earthquake, tornado, landslide, fire etc. It leads to financial vulnerability, environmental or even human losses. The resulting losses can depend on the affected population to resist the hazard, also called their resilience. This understanding is concentrated in the formulation: "disasters occur when hazards meet vulnerability."
Manmade Disasters
Manmade disasters result from man-made hazards (e.g. threats having an element of human intent, negligence, or error; or involving a failure of a man-made system), as opposed to natural disasters resulting from natural hazards. Man-made hazards or disasters are sometimes referred to as anthropogenic.
